something similar is happening to me. whenever i click my notifications bell it says "sorry, there was a problem with your request. please try again later." and it's really annoying. i can just click "my feed", but the bell is quicker and more convenient.

Perhaps it's a problem with your internet connection. I find that to be the more likely situation.
